Our History

Meanwood Abc was founded in 1969 by Harry Pinkney. The club started in Burley and progressed to the basement of Meanwood Working Men's Club in 1983 where the club produced some successful athletes.  

Current Head Coach Wayne Cunningham, began his boxing career at Hunslet Boys Club and then moved onto Meanwood with Harry and Kevin Cunningham where he gained his Level 1 and 2 ABA Coaching qualifications. He learned from their vast experience and was proud to coach and corner for national school boy champions.
